Half washed pot

Half washed pot in the sink. It is almost always the result from having to leave it in a hurry. Maybe the phone rung or somebody called your name to behold something. Whatever the reason the dish was left half clean, under the running water. The voices coming out of the television echo through the hallways and the sunlight beams through the old window shining straight on to the vacant sink. It almost sounds like a waterfall and the vapors float up top. You know what I mean. And when you return to wash that dish it seems even more unpleasant than before to clean. It's as if the section of grime left on the pot is cemented on. And you thought by leaving the water running on it, some how it will be easier to clean, but it's not. Because you left it there to attend something more "urgent" the project you were working on regressed and transformed in to something worse, something infantile. And now it unremoveable with the tools you have aboard. The moldy sponge and watery dawn you have will no longer surffice. Now you need Ajax, a brillo pad and some boiling water and even then there no guarantee for removal. The lesson of this old folk tale is always finish your dishes.
